Gaining fame as the Fashion Week of the luxury travel industry, Virtuoso Travel Week, scheduled to take place from Aug. 6 to Aug. 11 in Las Vegas, will present Turkey to luxury tourism agencies, professionals and hotel representatives.
Following the rapprochement between Turkey and Russia, the tourism sector has regained its speed and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is accelerating its projects to draw the attention of the jet-set tourism sector.
As a member-exclusive event, Virtuoso Travel Week gathers countries within the Virtuoso platform including 80 percent of the world's luxury tourism agencies. A delegate from the ministry will join the event and share Turkey's potential on luxury travel to professionals and companies. A 45-minute live Turkey destination presentation will be shown at the event.
The Virtuoso Travel Network is a leading luxury travel-marketing network based in the U.S. and is active in 37 countries and 735 destinations, while working with 388 travel agencies and 11,700 travel consultants. Last year, Turkey became a preferred alliance member.
Member countries promote themselves through marketing and education opportunities. The Turkish ministry has encouraged travel consultants to join webinar sessions and a training module on Turkey has attracted more than 200 travel consultants since April this year. The current scene appears that the membership will bring positive results on Turkey's luxury tourism potential.
In 2015, the Virtuoso Travel Week attracted thousands from the luxury travel industry. While primarily a business-to-business event, Virtuoso Travel Week has evolved to a prestigious event on the luxury travel industry - it began as more of a business-to-business, but evolved to business-to-customers through media coverage and sharing of new trends, news, and ideas around the fashion space. Virtuoso advisors and over 4.3 billion global public relations impressions - and more than 40 million more impressions via social media channels - keep a watchful eye on what transpires.
