Istanbul to become Europe’s leader in per-room revenue

According to research by taxes, auditing and consulting company PwC, Istanbul, which is one of the highest growing tourism centers in the world, is anticipated to reach European competitors in terms of per-room revenue.
The report states that Istanbul has shown 30 percent growth in the tourism industry in 2011 in comparison to figures from 2010, which makes the city the fastest growing tourism center in the world.
With an anticipated 10.2 billion dollars worth of tourism revenue, according to the research this year's hotel capacity figure for Istanbul is expected to rise to 74 percent compared to last year's figure of 73.1%.
