Sympathizers of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) clashed with Turkish police in the funeral of a PKK terrorist in southeastern Turkish city of Mardin on Wednesday.

The incident took place during the funeral of Kerim Karatay, a PKK member who was killed during an operation by the Turkish Armed Forces in the Guclukonak district of neighboring Sirnak province.

Carrying the coffin of Karatay, the group started to march, chanting slogans. The group later attacked Turkish police with stones and Molotov cocktails. A PKK sympathizer was detained following the clash.
