Two Turkish students from the Private Jewish Ulus Özel Musevi High School came in second in the Hong Kong International Science Fair.

Ulus Özel Musevi High School seniors İzel Elmas and Roy Konfino competed for Turkey in Hong Kong with a project researching the efficiency of transmitting wireless energy and its effects on human health, entitled, "May Nikola Tesla's Dream Come True - Wireless Energy Transmission - WI ENERGY."

The project, created by the two 12-graders, made it past the initial eliminations to be selected as one of the final 108 projects to compete in the Hong Kong International Science Fair.

On October 3rd, İzel Elmas and Roy Konfino, along with their project advisor and professor Talha Kılıç, flew to Hong Kong to participate in the science fair which ran from October 4th to the 11th. The two Turkish representative students successfully placed second in the Hong Kong International Science Fair out of the 108 projects presented.

Ulus Özel Musevi High School administrators are extremely proud of their students' success and say it will be a great source of motivation for other students."
