Prime Minister Erdoğan has released a circular note announcing the start of an aid campaign for Syrian refugees in coordination with the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey (AFAD) and the nation’s humanitarian aid establishments, foundations, professional associations, media institutions and civil society organizations.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has distributed a circular note regarding the start of an extensive aid campaign for Syrian refugees.

In the notice, Prime Minister Erdoğan states that due to the situation in Syria, hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to become refugees having to abandon their homes and seek shelter in neighboring countries. Now, these hundreds of thousands are faced with challenges of life security, starvation, dehydration, finding shelter and epidemic illnesses.

The circular penned by Prime Minister Erdoğan states, "As a debt to humanity we must not lose any more time in assisting our friends and brothers, the Syrian public, as the need for expedited action has arisen.
Based on the sentiments of offering aid and solidarity as well as the expectations of our public, the Turkish Republic will provide all forms of support for the victimized Syrian refugees in need.

We have full confidence that our public, our national and local press, our civil society organizations, public establishments and institutions, professional chambers and unions will volunteer their assistance to this campaign as their humanitarian duty in order to offer assistance in any way possible," writes Erdoğan.
