Ahmet Doğan, the father of 19-year-old Turkish American Furkan Doğan, who was the youngest of the nine people killed aboard the Mavi Marmara aid flotilla which was raided by Israeli forces in international waters, says that an apology won't mean anything if Israel doesn't lift the blockade on Gaza.
The father of 19-year-old Furkan Doğan, who was killed at by five shots at short range by Israeli forces on the Mavi Marmara vessel which was delivering aid to Gaza, Ahmet Doğan commented on Israeli's apology nearly three years after the incident. "An apology does not suffice on its own; if the blockade is not lifted on Palestine then fulfilling the other conditions has no value."
The wife of Ali Haydar Bengi, who was also killed in the attack, thanked Prime Minister Erdoğan. National taekwondo athlete Çiğdem Topçuoğlu, who lost her husband Çetin Topçuoğlu on the Mavi Marmara ship, said, "This is a great success for Turkish diplomacy."
