European Union Minister Egemen Bağış sent a celebratory message to the Jewish comunity in honor of the Rosh Hashanah holiday.
"I wish our Jewish citizens a happy New Year, filled with abundance and plentifullness," said Bağış. "The Rosh Hashanah holiday will be celebratd in an atmosphere of strong kinship and we believe that it will lead to joint prayers for peace. Our Jewish citizens, for hundreds of years up till now, have been agents of production within our society, assisting our country in important advancements from the aspects of economy, trade, education and culturally" continued Bağış compleating his message with these words; "I congratulate our Jewish citizens on their Rosh Hashanah holiday, and hope that the prayers for the Middle Eastern geography, especially those for Egypt and Syria come together."
