Gül welcomed five presidents from three different cotinents yesterday
Turkish President Abdullah Gül held official meetings with presidents or heads of governments of Afghanistan, Spain and Somalia.
Spanish President Mariano Rajoy attended the opening ceremony of Batıkent-Sincan metro line in Ankara. Gambia President Yahya Jammeh also had a busy schedule in Ankara to discuss bilateral ties between the countries. After departing Ankara, Jammeh arrived in Istanbul to hold business meetings with Turkish business tycoons.
The President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai and Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Şerif arrived in Ankara yesterday. They joined the Turkish president for dinner and are scheduled to attend the 8th Turkey-Afghanistan-Pakistan Summit to be held in Ankara today.
Moreover, Somali President Hasan Şeyh Mahmud has been in Ankara for the last few days to receive medical treatment.
