A sole house standing in the middle of an empty lot where all other buildings were razed to the ground for an urban transformation project in Istanbul was demolished yesterday. The house, located in the city's Fikirtepe district, made the headlines when houseowner failed to reach an agreement with the company undertaking the redevelopment project. The sides had finally reached a deal last week after three years.
