Disaster Coordination Center warns Istanbul on severe weather

Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) and Turkish State Meteorological Service advised that the west of Istanbul will experience cold and rainy weather coming from Balkans region today. According to the recent statement, severe rain and thunder is expected to continue until Tuesday.
Officials have warned citizens to expect strong thunder, heavy showers and a possible tornado.
The Istanbul municipality informed all fire departments, road maintenance departments and water and sewerage administration of Istanbul (ISKI) to stay alarmed for any emergency situations.
