One Turkish soldier dies, another wounded in PKK ambush

One Turkish soldier died and another wounded in PKK's ambush in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakır province on Tuesday night.

The militants attacked while soldiers were conducting patrol duty on the Turkish-Iranian border near the Saray district of Van. A Turkish lieutenant died and a private was wounded upon the PKK militants firing with long-range weapons.

Sources said, the militants managed to escape taking advantage of the night.
