The Peace Train, which carries activists promoting the reconciliation process to resolve the Kurdish question, departed from Istanbul yesterday. Organized by a platform of nongovernmental organizations, the train will stop in 10 cities before arriving in Diyarbakır, where a large Kurdish population lives. Activists will hold events in every city to drum up support for the reconciliation process to restore rights to the Kurdish community and end PKK terrorism.
