A convoy of Turkish warships is due to arrive at Sudan's Red Sea coast on Tuesday, the Turkish embassy in Khartoum said on Sunday.
The convoy would arrive in Port Sudan seaport in eastern Sudan on Tuesday and leave on Thursday, the embassy added in a statement.
It noted that Turkish naval forces would conduct military exercises with their Sudanese counterparts during the visit.
The embassy said that the visit was part of a tour started three months ago by Turkish warship Büyükada (F-152), which included several Arab countries as well as Pakistan.
Last year, a convoy of Turkish warships docked off the coast of Sudan during a tour around the Cape of Good Hope. It was the first in nearly 150 years.
The tour aims at strengthening Turkey's relations with countries in the region, according to the embassy.
