PKK opens fire on military convoy in southeastern Turkey

A group of terrorists affiliated with outlawed PKK opened fire on a military convoy that has been carrying construction equipment to Silvan dam construction site in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakır province on Wednesday.
According to a statement published on Turkish Armed Forces website, the terrorists opened fire on the convoy, which was protecting the Silvan construction site. The militants stopped the fire after the soldiers immediately responded the attack.
The statement said that an armured tactical wheeled vehicle in the military convoy was hit by 15 bullets from the attackers. An investigation has been launched into the attack.
