Explosion kills three in Turkey's eastern Elazığ province

A father and his two children were killed in an explosion in the eastern Turkish province of Elazig on Saturday, security sources said.

Çetin Yıldırım and his two sons were killed when a blast took place in an open field outside Bozçanak village of Palu district.

The three were reportedly in the Hanönü area to dump garbage piled in a wheelbarrow.

Ambulances and a large number of security forces were dispatched to the area following the incident.

An investigation has been launched to find out the cause of the blast.
