A man escaped from certain death after a group of people fiercely beat him following his lethal attack on his wife in southeastern Turkey.
The unidentified man was seeking to persuade his wife to retract a lawsuit for divorce before he produced a knife and fatally stabbed her. Passersby noticed the attack on the doorstep of the woman's house in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on Monday and beat the man, breaking his leg before he was rescued by police.
Media reported that the woman had a restraining order against her husband but had asked for its removal recently.
