Two police officers have been killed on Monday, by PKK terrorist attack in southern Adana province.
Terrorists, who were reportedly on motorcycles have opened fire on the police vehicle in front of a private hospital in Adana's Seyhan district at around 8 pm local time.
The perpetrators of the attack have fled the scene on their motorcycles, while the police officers were taken to the hospital to receive treatment, but both of them succumbed to their injuries.
Security forces have launched an operation to arrest the terrorists.
The PKK, which is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, resumed lethal attacks in July in southeastern and eastern Turkey, where a large Kurdish population lives, following a lull stemming from the government-initiated reconciliation process to end PKK terrorism and improve the lives of the Kurdish community.
