G20Live.com is a digital hub to measure and facilitate the impact of digital diplomacy and e-diplomacy during the course of the 10th G20 Leaders Summit on 15-16 November 2015.
This platform is portrayed as a digital gateway to foster digital engagement between global political, business, civil society, labour, intellectual, opinion leaders and public audience.
By creating such a platform, G20live.com aims at helping online users better engage and connect #G20, and in turn make their voice heard regarding the issues on the summit agenda. One can find live social media profiles of leaders from G-20 member countries, comparative leader profiles, social media stats, visualized real-time maps, live social feed from Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, trending hashtag analysis, videos and infographics.
Also renowned authors have written blog entries concerning the use of digital and social media tools by world leaders at the G-20 Summit in Antalya, Turkey.
Gökhan Yücel, director of G20Live.com, says "When G20 Summit coincided with Turkish presidency, Center for Research on Digital Affairs started taking an action. We decided to undertake G20Live.com project, which is in many ways an unprecedented way of covering global events based on data from social media. In designing this approach, we focused on four concepts: digital, diplomacy, engagement and influence.
Our website provides a wide variety of data both from real-time and archived streams. One can find almost everything about how the leaders of twenty-eight G20 participating states perform on social media and digital platorms as everyday users. We will certainly carry on doing same stuff for upcoming global events."
