The megacity Istanbul reported its first homicide for 2016 on Friday evening. The incident happened in the city's Beykoz district at around 6.30 p.m, local reports said. Two men reportedly got into an argument outside on a street over one of them named Kemal U. letting his three dogs out without leashes. Reşit Vural told his neighbor across the street Kemal U. that his children were scared of the dogs, after which the tension between two men escalated quickly, and they pulled out guns on each other. Reşit Vural was shot in the forehead, and lost his life in the hospital where he was later taken to. Police are currently trying to spot the suspect identified as Kemal U.
