Two pedestrians were injured in Turkey's northern city of Rize on Monday, when a large build-up of snow unexpectedly fell onto them from the roof of a mosque.
The two injured females, who were buried under the large pile of snow, were saved thanks to the people around, who cleared off the snow on top them. The women were later dispatched to the hospital.
The officials said, the snow was already partially cleared on the top of the mosque one day prior to the incident, but as the temperature increased to its seasonal norms, the snow melted further and fell on people walking on the sidewalks.
The incident was recorded on a security video of one of the businesses nearby.
