Off-duty Turkish police officer killed by PKK terrorists while shopping in Hakkari

A police officer, who was off duty and wearing civilian clothing, was killed by PKK terrorists while shopping in the southeastern Yüksekova district of Hakkari province on Monday.

The officer was attacked by five to six terrorists wearing masks on their faces.

Heavily injured, the officer succumbed to his wounds at the Yüksekova State Hospital.

Security forces launched an operation in the region to capture the terrorists.
