A curfew has been declared on Tuesday in the southeastern Turkish province of Şırnak's İdil district, according to a statement by the province governorship.
The curfew in İdil and a village in the province will be effective as of Tuesday 11 p.m. local time (2100GMT).
The statement indicated that the reason of the curfew was to apprehend PKK terrorists, fill burrows dug by militants, and remove roadblocks.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization also by the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign last July.
