Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım is expected to announce a new strategy in the prevention of possible cyber threats with the National e-State Strategy on Friday. The National Cyber-Security Strategy has been out together after the government examined cyber-attacks coming from the U.S., Europe and the Far East.
Any cyber threats coming from terrorists including the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) will be rushed long before the hackers attack. The strategy, which will protect institutions such as electronic communication, energy, water managements, critical public institutions, transportation and baking managements, also create a public authority to provide cyber security coordination. Previously, Ortak Akıl Platformu (The Common Sense Platform), composed of 73 institutions and 126 experts, pinpointed the weak and strong points of Turkey's cyber security. Prepared according to a report by the platform, the new strategy also aims to provide system and information privacy for all technology users.
The new strategy will also protect information systems from user errors and natural disasters. The government will train expert cyber security personnel as well.
