Turkish security forces seized more than 3.2 tons of hashish in operations targeting the PKK terrorist organization in the southeastern Diyarbakır province, said the governor's office Thursday.
In a statement, the office said the operation, which started on Feb. 4, targeted shelters of the terrorist organization in the Hazro and Lice districts.
A gun, a gun cleaning spray, scores of documents and tools were also seized, the statement said.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including women and children.
