Türkiye has 27 city hospitals serving patients nationwide, offering a wide range of health services within the same campus, from diagnosis and treatment to surgery and rehabilitation, with a total capacity of nearly 40,000 beds.

According to a statement from the Health Ministry, the 27 city hospitals across Türkiye provide high-standard health care services with their large capacity, modern infrastructure and strong medical staff.

City hospitals bring diagnosis, treatment, surgery, rehabilitation, education and research services together on the same campus. Their wide range of medical specialties allows patients to access different health care services at a single center.

With the completion of 13 city hospitals currently under construction, total bed capacity is planned to reach nearly 56,000, further strengthening Türkiye’s health care capacity.

Meanwhile, city hospitals have provided more than 455 million outpatient services and performed nearly 12 million surgeries to date.

Equipped with advanced technology, the hospitals’ operating rooms perform specialized and complex surgical procedures, while more than 85 million emergency examinations have been carried out at city hospitals operating 24/7.

Robotic surgery systems, hybrid operating rooms and advanced imaging technologies are also used in diagnosis and treatment processes at city hospitals.

The 13 city hospitals currently under construction are expected to increase health care capacity with their advanced technological infrastructure, modern medical units and patient-focused designs. Once completed, they are also expected to facilitate patients’ access to comprehensive health care services.
