EU Minister Bozkır: Europe should consider PKK, DAESH the same

EU Minister Volkan Bozkır said that that PKK and DAESH are terrorist organizations that use similar methods and aims and therefore should be considered in the same category of terrorist organizations. Speaking at the end of his official visit to Finland on Thursday, Bozkır said that the international community should work together to combat terrorism.

"[After the Brussels attacks], we have learned that all terrorist organizations need to be put in the same category, we cannot discriminate among them. We have to work together," he said. Since all terror organizations are fed by the same resources and use the same financial means, all countries should act together against terrorism," he said.

In recent days, PKK supporters set up a tent outside EU buildings in Brussels during the EU-Turkey summit. Turkish officials harshly criticized the Belgian government's permission for the tent.
