Turkish Armed Forces hit 120 Daesh and two PKK/PYD targets in northern Syria as part of Operation Euphrates Shield on Monday, said the army in a written statement yesterday.
Turkey's Operation Euphrates Shield was launched in late August to clear Syria's northern border area of terrorists. Tuesday marks the 70th day of the operation. The operation has seen both Daesh and PKK/PYD terrorist groups targeted by the opposition Free Syrian Army including Turkish tanks, artillery and aircraft. The PKK and its Syrian offshoot, the Democratic Union Party (PYD), are both listed as terrorist groups by Turkey, although the U.S. and EU only view the PKK as a terrorist organization.
Twelve Syrian opposition forces were also wounded in clashes against Daesh on Monday in raids in villages in northern Aleppo.
