Senior PKK member killed in counterterror operation

At least 10 PKK terrorists were killed Tuesday as part of the ongoing counterterror operations in east and southeast Turkey, local authorities said. Among the terrorists killed was Edip Yetüt, code named Erhan Siser, who was sought by authorities as he was listed in the"green category" of most wanted terrorists. Counterterror operations were conducted in the Genç district of eastern Bingöl province, and the Lice district of southeastern Diyarbakır province, the Diyarbakır Governor's office said.
Hand grenades, rifles, machine guns, pistol cartridges and organizational documents were seized in the operation, it added. Security forces also seized 1,386 kilograms of marijuana.
